This is where I was for pretty much my entire Sunday (even missed out on a crucial fantasy football draft). I spent a lot of time in and out of that tractor to the right of the semi. There seemed to be a never-ending rotation of trucks coming all day as we had combiners going in one spot and our own machine going in another. Out at Monke Farms, we have durum, spring wheat and canola. Today was a durum day — and boy was it a good one. Below is the shot of our Gleaner picking up some swathed durum that could be right up there with some of the best stuff we’ve ever cut. It could be a dang good year (if we can get it all before it decides to get too cold or start rain more).
