Rocky Mountain playing year with interim head coach

I stumbled upon this story today from my sports reporter colleague Bill Bighaus of the Billings Gazette. Apparently, Rocky Mountain football coach David Reeves resigned in late July to take an assistant spot at Northern Arizona (an FCS school). So, Rocky hired offensive coordinator Brian Armstrong to be the interim head coach.

Rocky Mountain opens their season against Dickinson State on Saturday, Aug. 29. Last season, the teams opened their respective seasons at Whitney Stadium and Rocky won 34-19 thanks to 240 yards passing and 3 TDs from QB Kasey Peters, who is back for his senior season.

Dickinson State begins practice Wednesday morning.
