*** Dickinson saddle bronc rider Shaun Stroh is back in the chase for the National Finals Rodeo. Stroh moved from 22nd in the standings to 15th over the weekend. He won the Lewiston (Idaho) Roundup with an 88 on Sankey Rodeo’s Surprise Part and won $4,076 in the process. That, along with his combined winnings of $3,856 at Ellensburg, Wash., last weekend put him back into the running for Las Vegas. *** Here are some of my best photos from the Badlands Throwdown MMA fights last Saturday. And Aarhus has photo galleries from both Trinity and Dickinson High’s BAC openers.

*** The Titans football team is ranked third in the latest Class AA football poll.

*** The DSU football team, which lost its first two games, dropped out of the NAIA poll.
